Tina, Senior Implementation Specialist, Strategic Partnerships
Physics, University of Cambridge

I studied Physics at university, and in the summer just after my third year I applied for an internship at Huguenots. I submitted my CV, was invited to an interview and started working about a week later. Near the end of my 10-week internship I was offered a permanent role in the Client Services team as an Investment Reporting Analyst.

Despite being a relatively junior member of the team at the time I was given plenty of responsibility, and regularly attended meetings and had telephone calls with our clients. The flat company structure means that you get meaningfully involved pretty quickly. My job partly involves understanding the requirements of our clients, and partly implementing the changes they request or setting up new projects. This requires strong problem-solving and logic skills, but there's also a more creative side to our work as well, with the day-to-day managing of the look and feel of the products we produce.

Looking back, everyone who works here was very friendly and welcoming, and I felt that I was able to fit right in! We have regular social events that really help with getting to know one another, and there's always opportunities for people to suggest new activities to get involved in.
